2024 Update

So after a break from training ponies last year due to unforseen circumstances, I feel I have not updated the website in such a long time! We have a new member to the team this season, a stunning registered Welsh section C gelding. It will be Waffle’s debut in the ring, so am looking forward to getting him out and about both locally and also to some agricultural shows. He will tentatively be offered for sale next Autumn after backing and riding away. Below is are a couple of pictures of him the week he arrived!

Halo is now working quite sweetly undersaddle at home. She has taken the whole backing process in her stride, and has not put a foot out of place in the 3 months I have had her. She is now ready to take the next step in her life and find hopefully her forever home to work up the levels. I believe with the right home she could go to the very top in either showing or dressage. She is very easy to train, and puts 100% into every session. Her full advert is now on the horses and ponies for sale page. She is also advertised on Horse Quest and Horsemart with videos attached. Halo’s Progress

Halo is taking to riding life beautiully so far! We are now working in walk and trot in the arena, and hacking out on the local estate both in front and behind. She is proving to have a trainable temperament and a sensible nature. Such a great combination for an up and coming superstar of the future! I am excited to progress further with her

**19th April update!**

We have progressed to canter today and in true Halo style she was perfect. We have also hacked out alone and she was very brave and sensible. I have added a lovely photo show extended trot too. She didn’t understand what I was asking for to beging with, so kept giving me the most amazing floaty trot!! This mare has a very bright future ahead of her either as a dressage pony or county showing.

New arrival!!!

Last week saw the arrival of the very beautiful Newoak Juno Bay. Standing at 14.2hh this riding pony mare will definitely turn heads in the ring! Rising 4yrs and available after backing and producing. Bred in the purple by Colbeach Nightlight, sire of many ridden HOYS winners, and a winner himself in hand. This mare will go to the very top, and will only be available to an experienced competitive home.

Sadly due to an ongoing injury, I will be taking a year out of backing ponies for clients this year. I will still be taking in a small selection of  schooling (up to 15hh) and holiday liveries, as these are not as unpredicatble as unbacked / newly backed youngsters!

I am looking forward to spending the year competeing ponies, and producing a couple of youngsters to sell on. After initially doing this nearly 12 years ago, my time has been taken up the last few years with clients ponies in for training instead. I will be updating the website with current ponies, and adding their training to the ‘ponies in training’ page for anyone interested in following. I also add everything to my facebook page, so feel free to add me.

August 2022 Update!

Appologies for not updating the page recently, I have had a busy summer training youngters and showing ponies this year. After 2 years out of the ring due to covid, and taking on the new yard, my own hobby had taken a back seat. Anyway its lovely to be back out, even if it has just been at local level. Below are a few pictures of our little team out an about. Could not do any of this without the wondeful help from my good friend Nicola, and of course little Amelia who keeps us all in check!

Our current ponies in for training are the lovely Fell pony Charles, and beautiful Bess. Charles is here for backing, and Bess is currently being assessed ready to be advertised for sale. Both ponies are a pleasure to have on the yard, with their own little charcaters shining through now

In the coming weeks we have several more ponies booked in for training, and a further 2 waiting to come in to be sold. Please keep an eye on the page for details

June 2022 Update

We currently have spaces for backing and schooling available from August to early October. We have had a very busy spring and summer so far, with many beautiful ponies coming and going for training. We have also been out competing ponies at local level with success. Really enjoying being back out in the ring again. Here are a few pictures for anyone interested.

Breaking & Schooling

We specialise in ponies from 12hh up to 15hh. Ponies can be started from scratch, or we can work on specific problem areas. We do traffic training, desensitizing and hacking out as standard in our breaking process. Also we welcome owners to come and work with their ponies at each stage of their training. Owners are updated regularly, and plenty of videos and pictures are taken throughout their stay.

2022 places are filling up now for breaking, schooling and holiday liveries. Please book early to avoid disappointment, as we are only taking on a small number of ponies at any one time.

Spring Update!!

Sorry I have not updated the website in so long. Had a busy winter with schooling and clipping. Now spring is here I am back to schooling and breaking again for anyone interested in following!

We have 2 beautiful Connemara’s in at the moment. Joey is a rising 5yr old gelding who is being schooled on ready for his young jockey to progress onto. He is a super sweet pony, just a little green in his work

Hunter is a very flashy 8yr old (rising 9yrs) standing at 14.2hh. He has proven too much for his young rider, and after her loosing her confidence his owner has decided he is here to sell. He is a lovely boy and will make a fantastic competition pony for an experienced rider. Full advert on the sales page

Backing & Schooling Spaces
