We are extremely lucky to have recently moved to our new bigger and better premises. This is a brand new training yard, with 15 indoor stables in a light and airy barn, 20 x 40 menage, and 10 acres of grazing. We are located approximately 5 minutes from the local bridleways, with only a couple of roads to cross. There is a quiet housing estate next to the yard which is great for hacking the youngsters round too, to introduce them to traffic gradually.
Inside the barn is where the initial backing process begins. We are very lucky the inside is big enough to ride a pony round on either rein, and teach basic turning and halting whilst in a fairly encolsed area. Once we feel they are comfortable and relaxed doing this, we venture out onto the car park and back road, before starting work in the arena. We also teach long reining in the barn, in the very early stages.

Below are some pictures of the fields. Our ponies are all fenced in with post and rail, or post and wire (not barbed) They are sectioned off into smaller paddocks with electric fencing and, turned out in small groups. We have limited turnout in winter, to rest the land, but they do get daily turnout in smaller dirt paddocks with haylage / hay. During the summer months in very hot spells they are sometimes out overnight too. The barn can get so hot at times, and its cooler for the horses out on the paddocks. An extra late evening check is done if this is the case.

We also have a solarium and hot shower facilities to keep your ponies gleaming throughout their stay. Our newly built wash bay is perfect for bathing, and with its matted floors prevents ponies slipping on wet ground
